Briar Hill Farm is located on a beautiful hillside in Central Vermont.  We have been involved in horses for over 20 years and fell in love with Fjords in 1986. In 2003, we  added the rare and endangered  Dales Ponies to our farm. These special animals have been family members and friends, carrying us over Vermont mountains, competing with us in dressage, combined driving, competitive ridden and driven trail.  The Fjords and Dales are special horses who create a deep bond with their human partners. Both breeds are hardy, intelligent, willing to please, and diligent workers.
We use TTEAM (Tellington-Jones Equine Awareness Method) and classical techniques in our training to produce horses that are light, responsive, and willing partners.  Horses start their training as foals with clear, gentle, and consistent handling. We take plenty of time training and handling each horse to develop the horse's talents and character. There are no shortcuts to good training.
